Project Manager

On the back of a strong growth trajectory – and in a bid to power the business, HFCB Group Plc is looking to recruit a dynamic and results-oriented Project Manager
About the Role
The Project Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, execution, governance, and successful delivery of strategic digital transformation initiatives within the assigned tribe. Working within an Agile delivery model, the role will coordinate multiple cross-functional Scrum teams, ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while maintaining alignment with business priorities and organizational strategy.
The Project Manager will partner closely with Product Owners,Tribe Leads, Architects, Software Engineers, QA teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to drive successful delivery of complex technology programmes.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of strategic digital transformation projects within the assigned tribe.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resources, risks, and quality to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional Agile teams, including Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Architects, Developers, QA Engineers, and external vendors.
- Drive Agile project delivery by supporting sprint planning, release management, dependency management, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, vendors, and executive sponsors, providing regular project updates and facilitating key governance forums.
- Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Monitor project financials, vendor performance, and resource utilization to ensure efficient delivery and value realization.
- Ensure compliance with organizational governance, security, risk, and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, reporting, and performance metrics to support informed decision-making and executive oversight.
- Champion best practices in project management and Agile delivery, fostering collaboration, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement across project teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in Project Management, Product Management or in a similar role within an agile environment.
- PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner
- Agile Project Management certification
- Scrum Master or Scrum Fundamentals certification
Competencies
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and product management principles.
- Strong understanding of the design thinking methology and has demonstrated experience applying.
- Proven experience in creating user stories, managing product backlogs, and prioritizing work.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with product management tools like Azure DevOps, Jira, Figma
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical tasks.
