As a core member of Phase 2 of our tribe's expansion, you will be instrumental in establishing the automation frameworks for our new Omnichannel Experience Layer and stabilizing deployments across our multi-stack environments.
Key Accountabilities
a) CI/CD Pipeline Automation & Tooling
- Implement, maintain, and optimize robust continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to accelerate delivery cycles.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to automate application builds, testing integrations, and code quality checks using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Support the tribe's containerization strategy by managing and deploying containerized application workloads using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ensure proper version control, artifact repository management, and strict configuration governance across all development test objects and environments.
b) Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Cloud Engineering
- Provision and manage secure cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS or GCP) utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles (e.g., Terraform or CloudFormation).
- Execute infrastructure changes and environmental setups to support the transition from legacy frameworks to high-performance microservices environments.
- Maintain and optimize configurations across various operating systems (Linux, Windows) to ensure smooth system integrations and fault tolerance.
- Manage environment access controls, interfaces, and networking configurations required by project teams for seamless testing and releases.
c) DevSecOps & System Reliability
- Integrate automated security vulnerability scanning, compliance monitoring, and code inspection tools (e.g., SonarQube) directly into delivery pipelines.
- Monitor infrastructure and application performance, logs, and alerts to guarantee enterprise-grade fault tolerance, uptime, and quick resolution of system bottlenecks.
- Collaborate closely with QA Engineers to support automated nightly build verification ("smoke") tests and automated performance testing infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot configuration or environment-related production issues and proactively address technical debt in deployment setups.
d) Collaboration & Technical Governance
- Serve as an infrastructure alignment point within the tribe, ensuring mutual understanding of deployment constraints between engineers, QA, and architects.
- Provide technical guidance and clear documentation regarding environment setups and infrastructure best practices to engineering squad members.
